On Beyonce’s “Bow Down”
When you understand as a woman, you can accept the record. People gon’ talk–who cares? You’re an artist, you’re allowed to try out new things. I think that she’s blessed to have freedom.
On Ignoring Keyshia Cole
You know what, do you have to hit somebody or give somebody words? Silence is the best power. Just keep talkin’. I don’t think that it’s important to respond back. You don’t have to do that. We’re too grown for that stuff.

I think that’s very important. The main thing is just know what you’re doing. It’s very important between two people to be completely honest about everything including that. You have to make sure you teach them what’s going on…..

J.Cole Releases “Born Sinner” Date…Again
Rapper J.Cole has announced on Twitter another release date for his Born Sinner album which was supposed to drop January 28. The rapper pushed it back due to needing more time and now he feels that his project will be ready June 25th. Born Sinner is the follow up to his number one debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story. A video for Cole’s first single Power Trip is set to premiere Tuesday April 9th, 2013. Tyga dropped the futuristic Collin-Tilley directed visual to his newest single Molly. The song features Wiz Khalifa and Mally Mall. The video features robots, lights, pills, dancing and girls. The rapper turns into a half rapper, half robot as he escorts a bot to the party. If it reminded you a bit of the popular “i Robot” movie you’re not alone.
“I wanted to mix I, Robot with a little Alice in Wonderland. I wanted to make it real trippy for ya’ll and just make it crazy,”, Tyga explains the inspiration behind the visual. Rapper Brianna Perry dropped a visual to the track “9” lifted off her upcoming mixtape “Symphony No. 9: The B Collection”. Ciara dropped new music recently and it features no one other than rapper Future. The track Wake Up, No Make Up stars Ciara flaunting her money to a Mike Will Made It production. The song was also written with the help of the rapper and is featured on Future’s mixtape Future Presents F.B.G: The Movie, dropping Tuesday.
Rapper Nas recently announced that he’s hard at work on the follow up to his 2012 album Life Is Good. “I got some good stuff, I’m in the zone right now and I feel good about where I’m at, so I gotta take advantage of it”, Nas announced to listeners of Hot 97 with Angie Martinez. Nas isn’t only centered in his professionally life, he’s also rekindled his friendship with his ex-wife Kelis. We’re friends and I’m glad to be at that place. I don’t want no beef.”, he said proudly. The rapper is also nominated for four Grammy Awards and was recently named Greatest Lyricist of All Time by CNN. Things are definitely looking up for the rapper. He hasn’t given an official date for this album to be ready but we’ll all be ready for it. Are you interested in a new Nas project?
Justin Timberlake dropped a video “I’m Ready” which is a countdown to new material. In the 59 second video Timberlake teases a return. He confidently strides through the recording booth, puts on a pair of headphones and declares he’s ready. At the very end of the video a countdown clock set to expire at midnight on January 13th is displayed. No one quite knows what he’s counting down to. It may be a new song (some are even speculating that the song features Jay Z) and some speculate it’s the announcement of his new album. Well we’ll all be waiting and ready for whatever it is.
This project is Timberlake’s first since his 2006 FutureSex/LoveSongs album. Since the release of that album Timberlake has done movies, TV, fashion, decor, and even Myspace. Everyone’s been asking him when he would come back to music and it’s finally happening. I don’t want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don’t love, you just don’t get that every day.
