Real Husbands of Hollywood Season 2: Chris Rock In & Robin Thicke Out
Chris Rock is joining the cast of BET’s popular The Real Husbands of Hollywood series but rumor has it that we won’t be seeing much of Robin Thicke next season. Thicke has yet to confirm the rumors. Rock said he watches the show “and it just seemed like they were having so much fun. I said, ‘I want to have fun.”. Joining the cast was as easy as saying to Kevin Hart that he wanted in. The show is marketed as a scripted series mocking popular reality shows. The rest of the cast seems to be all in for next season. Are you looking forward to a season 2?
After a bizarre chain of events comedian Katt Williams has announced his is retiring from comedy. A lot of people are speculating he’s on drugs and some are saying his retirement isn’t permanent. What do you think?
Singer Ashanti is keeping herself busy lately and she just added another acting role to her resume. After success in movies such as Coach Carter and John Tucker Must Die, the singer has landed a role in the hit show Army Wives. Shan will play Latasha Durant, a single mother of three, including a son with Cystic Fibrosis. Ashanti’s role will be a recurring lead role and she seems nothing short of excite about it. Do you watch Army Wives?
During the airing of her infamous interview with pop star Rihanna, Oprah received many tweets requesting that she interview their favorite celebs. Here’s one in particular that she actually responded to. It would be cool to hear from Lauryn Hill. Who would you like Oprah to sit down with?
The hit VH1 Show “Single Ladies” will be back for a season three. Apparently, the Queen Latifah produced scripted series is dominating with on average 3.2 million viewers. The show stars Denise Vasi (Raquel), Charity Shea (April) and LisaRaye McCoy (Keisha) through their crazy love lives while working in a fashion boutique in Atlanta. The second season finale airs August 27th. Will you be watching?
After 41 days or so of being married, Evelyn filed for divorce from her baller boo Chad Johnson. The two do have a prenuptial agreement that comes into play. It seems like Chad Johnson is having one heck of a week after being cut from his team, and his TV Show canceled now it’s the D word (& it has nothing to do with defense).
Mariah Carey is officially one of the judges on the upcoming season of American Idol. I can’t believe they’re still striving to save this show. The ratings have been down for quite a while. Do you think Mariah can help save American Idol or is it time to throw in the towel?
Keshia Knight-Pulliam has cleared up rumors of her being added to the cast of Real Housewives of Atlanta. She said she’s definitely not doing that. Who would you like to see on the show? I don’t watch the show because I don’t watch much of reality TV.
Everyone has been wondering what’s going to happen to BET’s The Game since Pooch Hall and Tia Mowry have announced their departure. Well reports have it that writers are going to pull a Single Ladies and instead of replacing the roles with other actors, they’re just going to place a new couple in the storyline.
With Tia Mowry leaving the show, producers are looking for a new female actress to join the cast in the regular role of Kiera, a 20-year-old former child star who has been in the spotlight since she was five years old and starring on a “Cosby” style sitcom. According to the casting call, she’s bright and charming, but struggling into transitioning into a grown-up career.
Kiera isn’t the only newbie in town! Another series regular will be hired to play Bryce “The Blueprint” Westbook - a #1, Ivy League draft pick running back who breaks every “dumb athlete” stereotype. He’s not only got a Heisman Trophy, but he’s usually the smartest guy in the room — which sets his new teammates on edge.
Will you still tune in for the next season? I want them to bring Kelly back. I loved her role.
Former American Idol Kris Allen was recently asked if he watched the season finale of American Idol and he said a mouthful. He no longer watches American Idol and thinks it’s time to pull the plug on the show. Apparently he’s not the only one since American Idol ratings are no longer as high as they used to be. 74% of TMZ readers agree that it’s time to pull the plug on the show. Do you think it’s time to give up on Idol? You still watch?
After lots of speculation about their departure, BET video DJs Terrance J and Rocsi Diaz are indeed parting ways with BET to focus on their acting careers. Who do you think should replace them on 106 & Park?
