R&B singer August Alsina is known for his sexy music. While promoting his debut album “Testimony”, Alsina spoke about his rocky relationship with R&B singer Trey Songz. “I don’t really fuck with Trey right now. We don’t get along right now,” he admitted in a recent interview before continuing to explain the deal. “Like I tell people all the time, show me that you’re this person on day one… You should always be that person,” said August. “We were supposed to have a show together and it just went left ’cause I can’t deal with ni**as’ egos and attitudes ’cause I’m just a real ni**a comin’ through and I’m rockin’.”
That sucks because August and Trey Songz would be one heck of a collaboration. Alsina is currently promoting his “Testimony” album slated to drop April 15th.
Lil’Wayne may feel like he’s invincible to everyone, but seems to forget the federal government sees everything. He was recently hit with a twelve million dollar tax lien. The government alleges that Wayne skipped out on paying his taxes in 2011 and 2012. Wayne can’t even front like he doesn’t have the money because according to Forbes he made sixteen million dollars in 2013. Instead of dropping money on strippers and VIP bottles, I’m pretty sure Wayne should make it rain for Uncle Sam.
With two projects under his belt for 2014, Chris Brown is ready to work. He’s readying up his anticipated “X” album (that was pushed back due to his rehab stay) and his “Fan of a Fan” project with Tyga. Chris Brown may be ready to work but he can’t seem to win for losing these days. The singer took to Twitter over the weekend to vent about his album leak and even pointed the finger at his old manager Tina Davis. “My old manager is leaking my NEW album music and reuses to give me my back up hard drive to sabotage my album. That’s F’d up G!” Breezy tweeted (& later deleted).
Davis defended her character on Twitter suggesting “Trace it! Find out where it originated from…RCA can do that for you. Then send a defaming tweet out on who really did it.” Davis managed Chris Brown up until earlier this year. He’s currently being managed by Bu Thiam.
Breezy’s not letting that get to him though. He was spotted over the weekend shooting the video for his “Loyal” single and he finally put a date on his “X” release. Team Breezy can expect “X” to drop May 5 2014. Let’s hope that we don’t get it before then. Breezy’s eager to tell his story through his new album but he wants it to be on his terms when he’s ready. Are you excited to hear “X”?
Eminem and Rihanna are touring together this August. “The Monster” tour stops in three cities (Detroit, New York and and L.A.). Em tweeted about it today and he seems very excited. The tour stemming from their hit single “The Monster” is sure to fill some seats.
"Tonite I’m Yours" dropped in 2003 and was lifted from Zane’s second album "The Big Zane Theory." It was the only single and it probably had a lot to do with that album’s mediocre success. Zane was not only a rapper but he also appeared in "The Fighting Temptations" alongside Beyoncé. Zane currently has his own label Money Making Muzik where he is readying up his next album.
Not sure if this is the official remix but I’ve been jamming to this for quite some time while Zendaya is working on the video. The video is under lock and key so until then, enjoy the remix to her new single “My Baby.” The remix features Bobby Brackins, Ty Dolla $ign & IamSu! What do you think of this remix? Should it be the official?
Actor/Rapper Khleo Thomas dropped the audio to his new song “Five on It.” The song samples the popular 90s track “I Got Five on It” by Luniz. It’s definitely a hot new take on something old. “Five on It” is lifted from Khleo’s “Raised in the 90s” EP. What do you think of the track? What’s your favorite line because he has many punchlines?
Actress and singer Keke Palmer gave everyone a taste of her new sound on this week’s episode of Single Ladies. The singer has a reoccurring role on the show as herself. You can catch the show every Monday at 9pm est.
For Valentine’s Day, dropping new music was the thing to do. Singer Mya dropped her EP “With Love.” The four track R&B EP is available now on ITunes through her independent label Planet 9. It’s hard to believe that it’s been sixteen years since she dropped her first single. What do you think of the EP?

Bow Wow Says He Bowed Out of the Wave Masterz Project
Rapper/entertainer Bow Wow took to Facebook to address any questions in regards to that Wave Masterz Projectthat people were talking about on the web. Apparently if you go to the site its advertising the release of an exclusive line of wave brushes and hair products. It’s even talking about a tour. Bow Wow quickly cleared the air before anything could go any further.
"Just so its clear to the press, I (personally) I am not apart of wavemasterz company that has been reported online. Michael Vick is a friend of mine. It was a deal we tried to get right but timing and business reasons just couldn’t allow it. No shad to the brand its a great product and I wish them the very best. Even I still own my brush!"
Bow Wow is currently regularly hosting BET’s 106 & Park, working on new music and upcoming business ventures. What do you think of the site? It’s funny that he said “N shad to the brand.”
