Fresh off the success of HBO’s The Wire and CW’s 90210, 25 year old Tristan Wilds quickly recreated his career. He loves acting but he’s always wanted to sing so he made it happen. It seemed like overnight that Tristan the actor became Mack Wilds the singer. He quickly owned the spotlight with his debut single “Own It.” The track caught attention of old fans and new ones and was the perfect way to reintroduce himself to the world.  Wilds snagged a performance at this year’s BET Experience and a Grammy nomination for best contemporary album and a spot on Wiz Khalifa’s “Under the Influence” tour. With songs like “My Crib,” “Don’t Turn Me Down,” and a remix of Michael Jackson “Remember the Time,” Mack Wilds has earned every ounce of his spotlight. The album “New York: A Love Story,” is available on iTunes and has been for quite a while but people are just discovering Mack the rapper. “People don’t even realize there’s an album out—and that it’s actually kinda good,” For a realist, Wild’s is very optimistic of his musical future. He knows that the transition from actor to musician takes a bit of time and his humble personality and his patience will take him far. You can catch Mack on tour with Wiz Khalifa and many others. It’s a tour you won’t want to miss.
